As a result of rapid technological development, new professions are constantly emerging, often requiring skills that differ from those needed in the past. This presents a significant challenge for vocational education and training (VET) institutions, as they are responsible for equipping students with up-to-date knowledge and skills that prepare them for the labour market.
The DTT’s in VET project aims to address these challenges.
The main question of the project is: How can we make skills development more effective and enhance the digital skills of both students and teachers so that they truly meet the expectations of today’s world?
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- To improve the digital literacy of teachers.
- To support teachers in adapting to the digital transformation and in recognising the role that digital tools play in vocational education and training.
- To integrate digital tools more extensively into our training programmes, in line with current technological and industry needs.
- To develop students’ professional skills through digitally based applications, thereby increasing their employability in the labour market.
- To strengthen the institutional capacity of VET institutions to support the digital transformation.
ACTIVITIES TO ACHIEVE THE OBJECTIVES
- Raising awareness of the importance of digital transformation and developing digital literacy through various information-sharing, awareness-raising, application, testing and evaluation activities.
- Encouraging knowledge sharing and cooperation among teachers through:
- sharing ideas and jointly solving problems,
- presenting good practices,
- jointly developing and testing digital learning materials.
